How to model a simple body (low poly)

Hello friends, today I will speak, I mean, I'll start talking about 3D modeling, to be more exact modeling of the human body, well, modeling the human body can be divided into three different levels, the easy, that you use few polygons to create the body structure, the average, where was already makes modeling more precise and more similar to the human body itself, and has the complicated, where we use the tool subdivisionsurface to give more shape to the model and make increasingly more similar to the human body itself.

Well, now talking about low poly, meaning few polygons, is a type of modeling where it uses the minimum possible to create objects and other things, many 3d models that use the principles of low poly, and that yet, are much like human forms (in case you are modeling a human body), the secret is to have much creativity and patience because 3d modeling can do everything.

Below is some pictures of projects in blender made with the principles of low poly:

Well, these are examples of very simple models in 3D using the principles of low poly, but remember, even using low poly you can add many other tools to modify your work and make it looks like increasingly with what you want to model, even using low poly.
As promised, I'll put a tutorial that teaches you in a very simple way to create a low poly character, and that it will introduce you to new tools and keyboard shortcuts to get to your job each ves better and faster.

As you can see, this tutorial the guy is using an older version of blender, but do not be scared, it still has to follow the tutorial still okay.
And how can you see he is using a background image, a blueprint to guide their modeling and stay exactly like it should be, this blueprint has to be extremely symmetrical, if not, you got lost in the modeling process, well for put a blue print you have to do the following steps will show you with pictures own blender 2.64:

This is the panel where you will find the option to put a background image.

Here you will click on add image.

And then will open another tab below, then you will click on the button open.

For show the image you must to be in ortho viw, for this you need to clik in the numeric buttons of you keybord, number 5 and them number 1.

Start the blender

Hi guys, now I will post here a tutorial about blender interface, ie the basics you should know before you go out modeling, well I could explain it, but I think that explain this things with words, ie, writing and using pictures, will be more complicated to understand, so I separated two good videos about this part of the initialization blender.

I caught these videos of a you tube channel that has many other cool tutorials about modeling and animation, that would be interesting to you guys see later, the canal link is at the end of the post.
Now follow the below tutorials, watch and learn, I hope it is useful.

(any questions please contact me by face appearing in the previous post).

Video One - Blender 2.6 Tutorial 01 - The Basics

Video Two - Blender 2.6 Tutorial 02 - Customizing and saving the UI

Well, I ended up finding in the same channel another two videos that complement a bit the content of this post, well follows below the other two videos.

Video Three - Blender 2.6 Tutorial 03 - Adding (And Transforming) Objects

Video Four - Blender 2.6 Tutorial 04 - Saving, Restoring, Backups and Iterations.

You can read more about this at this link that follows below, is the site's own blender that contains explanations and tutorials very interesting.

A brief discussion about blender

Hello people, well to start talking about the blender, you guys who are interested in this blog should know that to be an animator or a modeler you have to be a lot of creativity and much, much patience even because are many processes that are you guys will have to be made until you have a nice end result to the human eye (ie, the closest to perfection better >.<), but don't be scared, go slowly and do many exercises, read other blogs to search too far, that in time you guys will become increasingly experienced in this tool, it's only a matter of time and practice.

Well let's to the point, I'll put some pictures below of things already created in the blender for you guys and see if maybe a little inspiration :).

This is a hand that I did a few weeks ago, didn't take long, and soon I'll post here on the blog the video tutorial that  I saw to learn how to make a human hand, but remember, the tutorial videos are just for y'all don't lose yourself and learn the tools, but don't copy the same, because otherwise you will never learn to do it the way of you, watch tutorials, but don't copy the same quite okay ^ ^ be creative.

This is a body that I created using as reference the body of Wonder Woman (a picture of her that I found on the internet, to use as BluePrints (soon I'll explain what are the BluePrints)).
to create this body and make him look as close as possible to the rounded shape human I used the tool subdividesurface (I'll explain more about it later).

And this is a face of a man who did a few months ago and now I'm texturing, well, as you guys can see this in the way of texture blender, where the object is already mapped and textured (part of the eye) and the rest is white because isn't yet textured. For this object texturing I used UV mapping (which I will explain later in the texture).

On my facebook I have other pictures of my animation projects, if you guys want you can visit and take a look at my other creations.

Well, enough about me and about my creations, let's to the point.
To start you need in blender DOWNLOAD blender (laughs), below is the link where you guys can download this software and start exploring the world blender.

In the next post I'll begin to explain the interface and the command of the blender.

Introduction to Blog

Hello dear aspiring modeling, good to get the blender isn't only a tool for modeling, he also is a game engine, or you can create it / program their own games, also is an image renderer, and also makes animations, that is what will be initially treated here in this blog.

Below is a few topics that will be discussed in this blog initially, with time I will post more stuff, but I'm also not a professional modeling and animation then I will use my knowledge but also with a help of our dear internet (you tube).

List of topics:

1 - Start the blender
2 - How to model a simple body low poly
3 - How to model a female body .
5 - how to model a face .
6 - how to model a body using the tool subdividesurface.

Here ends the part of as modeling, texturing then follow as to its objects and characters.

1 - Explanation of textures
2 - Explanation of materials
3 - UV Mapping
4 - light and camera of a scene.

Here ends the part of texturing, the following will be discussed part of character animation.

1 - Introduction to animation in blender.
2 - How to animate a puppet Minicraft simple
3 - How to animate a more complex character

Well folks for now so I will "teach" the topics mentioned above, and further ahead teach about ambiance, particles, physics and other tools of this magnificent creation software and modeling.
